The Idea of Being Productive Lies in Your Perception!

The sudden outbreak of Covid-19 has made the world stand still, life has become like an episode stuck in loop from a horror series where you are supposed to stay inside our homes so that we can stay safe from the monster. Some view this lockdown as the days of our lives(vacations) where as others as a mere house arrest. You can either choose to be optimistic or pessimistic, one can use these days to be productive or one can just sit around and cuss the world for being so irresponsible, the choice is yours!
When we talk about being productive here, the definition totally depends upon the person reading this write up, traditionally catching up on studies is being productive, for some reading that new book is being productive, learning a new skill is being productive and the list goes on. I believe being productive is doing something that makes your heart ‘glow’ with happiness, something that brings a feeling of satisfaction and fulfilment. We often stumble across someone who complains about being mentally disturbed(don't confuse this with metal retardation), our friends complain about facing depression, anxiety etc and we start relating ourselves to these phenomenas as well because deep down we all are facing some issues that need to be addressed. But who will address these issues, a therapist? Being from a psychological background I can share one tip with you and that is the best therapist in this world is no one but you! Go ahead stand in front of that mirror and look at yourself, not just at your beautiful face but look within yourself, inside that beautiful soul that needs your attention, your love and your warmth. Eliminate all that toxicity from your life and embrace yourself because when this quarantine ends, even you should start glowing like our mother nature.
So read that book, watch those series you always wanted to binge on, try that makeup tutorial you loved, shake a leg on tik tok or bake that cake you always wanted to, because being productive is doing something that makes your heart glow!
